I utilized a bit of a Northern Pine Design called Snowflake to create this white and silver piece.
It is about 4.5 inches square, shown here in a coal black double mat.
Worked on a 18 count black mono fabric (purchased from Fireside Stitchery). The fabric has specks of red and green glitter applied (as purchased).
The threads used for the 8 point starburst and center area are white and silver Goldrush 14 and Nordic Gold.
Original design called to use size 8 white perle cotton for the cross stitches outside of the 8 snowflake/starburst. At first I thought the white perle cotton would look boring. I did one section of the outer cross stitches in the perle white size 8, another section in a Krenik size 4 silver braid thread and a third section in Kreinik size 4 pearl white braid. Amazing, to me the plain size 8 white perle cotton worked best so that is what I did the four outer cross stitch sections in.
Original Northern Pine design called to be accented with pearls and beads which I did not add.
