Basket of grapes?

Counted Cross-Stitch

I like to have what I call light weight stitching projects at hand are forgiving if I get into a TV show and go off pattern.

This is suppose to be a counted cross stitched basket of grapes … well, at least it looks like a basket of purple flowers. To give away as finished gifts, I purchased three kits (fabric, tin tart pan, chart, floss) a few years ago. I finally got the first one stitched over this Christmas break, tried putting the finished stitched piece over the provided piece of foam and put it into the tin tart but it looked rather poorly, so tart tin will be used for some other stitched piece.

This year I have gone to using window cards for framing my small projects. This card, from Nordic Needle has a deckle edge, round cut out, card color is called Hammer Blue. Card sized at 4″ by 6″, with a 3.25″ round opening. I used double sided tape to secure worked piece inside of this tri-fold card.
