Counted Cross-Stitch
I have framed and placed this in my stitching area. It is so soothing to view as I work.
This is a Dimension counted cross stitch kit called Feline Love.
Worked size is 7 x 5 inch, stranded cotton supplied in the kit.
Soon as I saw this design I thought of our lovely Holly (grey kitten) and Nick (sandy kitten).
This is stitched in 1-3 strands, half cross stitch.
Three major alteration I made:
1) less outlining than the design showed.
2) a black bullion body for the right butterfly
.
3) a double wrapped around three short straight stitches for the thicker body of the left butterfly.
