Victoria Sampler Pumpkin Patch Farm, Counted Cross-Stitch

This is the third or fourth Victoria Sampler pattern that I have stitched. I like working their patterns, instructions are very concise.

Design area: 72w x 177h (5.1 inch x 12.6 inch)

Fabric used: 28ct Clay Cashel Linen

I was lucky on eBay and stumbled upon a good sale price for the design and the accessory pack. The accessory pack included Gloriana, Dinky dyes, Kreinik Mori and Needlepoint Inc. silk threads. It is always interesting to see how the different silk threads stitched differently from each other.

The colors and feel of Gloriana silk threads are a favorite of mine but though even if a pattern calls to work in single strand I near always work Gloriana using two strands.

Stitches used: Cross stitch, arrowhead, backstitch, waffle, triple rice, reverse cushion, herringbone, lazy daisy, French knot

For those familiar with this pattern you will note I decided to replace a bunch of pumpkins with grazing sheep in the pumpkin patch area of the design.
