Counted Cross-Stitch
In October 2013 Stoney Creek website offered two free designs: Christmas Tidings Bell Pull and Express Faith.
Christmas Tidings is the main design that I used for this bellpull and I got the snowman and tree (lower left panel) from the Express Faith design.
Christmas Tidings design stitch count for entire design 160w x 160h, approximately 11 1/2 x 11 1/2 inches on 14ct. I used the 14 count fabric Oatmeal Lite Fiddler’s Cloth.
The top wire piece is from Stoney Creek Stitchery website and is called Fabric Holder – 12″ Holly ‘N Bells.
Around Black Friday time period several of the stitching websites had good sales and shipping offers. That is when I picked up the numerous little plastic ornaments that I incorporated into this design.
Special flosses that I used were Weeks Dye Works eggplant (for the lettering), icicle for the peace dove and snowman, lancaster red and heron blue. Other than that I used DMC metallic gold and silver floss plus a bunch of regular DMC stranded floss.
