10 Amaryllis Oct 2025. Cleared off dried leaves, placed the 10 orchid pots with amaryllis bulbs into two cardboard boxes and left the two boxes out on back deck in a shaded area. Late spring: Let long leaves develop. Removed wax after blooming. Planted in orchid ceramic pots and water. Place in full summer sun. Rained on or watered once a month with heavy drench of water. Orchid pots has lots of holes for quick drainage.
Repot your Amaryllis every three to four years, during its dormant period in the late fall or early winter, after the foliage has died back. To repot, remove the bulb from its old pot, gently clean off the soil, select a pot that is 1-2 inches wider, and plant the bulb with the top two-thirds exposed to fresh, well-draining soil.
